1. I pledge to play my part in creating a strong Washington economy.
For example, when I put out a leaflet, I will use a Washington printing company which will create a “Washington Pound” instead of sending money out of Washington.
2. I pledge to be accountable to the residents that elect me.
I have a Facebook page I will regularly publish my activities on and will put out quarterly communications in a recyclable leaflet (Covid dependent) so that residents know that I am working for them. This will mean that my contact details will be in regular circulation for residents to get in touch and question me meaning residents will be better informed about what the role of a Councillor entails. I am always happy to be questioned and challenged on what I am doing and what my plans are.
3. I pledge to hold the leadership of our council to account.
I will support the leadership where I can and in everything I do make sure that decisions are made in the best interests of the residents of Washington. I will represent, defend and promote Washington interests and further the needs and interests of constituents wherever possible.
